شهبهک پێکهاتهیهکی ئینتۆ – دینیی کوردن و به شێوهزارێکی کوردییش قسه دهکهن که سهر به زاری کوردیی گۆران – ههورامییه. ههرچهنده شهبهک به زۆرینه وهک نهتهوه کوردن بهڵام کۆمهڵگهکهیان ههندێک عهرهب و تورکمانیشی له خۆی گرتووه، شیعه و سوننهیان ههیه، به زۆرینه شیعهن. بهپێی توێژینهوه مێژووییهکان ڕوون بووهتهوه که شهبهکهکان دهچنهوه سهر هۆزێکی کورد به ناوی (شهنبهک) له ناوچهی گۆرانهکان له ڕۆژههڵاتی کوردستان له نێوان ههورامان و کرماشان نیشتهجێ بوون، ئهو ههرێمه شوێنی سهرههڵدانی دینی یارسانه و کتێب و نووسراوه دینییهکانی ئهو ئایینه به زاری گۆرانی نووسراون. دواتر ئهم هۆزه له دهوروبهری سهدهی پازدهم بۆ باشووری کوردستان کۆچیان کردووه و له دهشتێک له ڕۆژههڵاتی مووسڵ نیشتهجێ بوون. شهبهکهکان به ههندێک باوهڕ و ڕێوڕهسمی دینیش دهچنهوه سهر باوهڕی دینی یارسان و ههڵبهت به زمانیش ههر بهو شێوهزاره کوردییه قسه دهکهن که له کۆنهوه لهم ناوچهیه قسهی پێ کراوه. ئهمانهش بهڵگهن که شهبهک لهم ههرێمهوه هاتوون. له ماوهی سهدهی ڕابردوودا له لایهن دهسهڵاتدارانی عێراقهوه ههوڵ دراوه شهبهک له ناسنامهی کوردبوونیان داماڵرێن و بکرێن به عهرهب، ههر بۆیه لهلایهن ڕژێمی پێشووی عێراقهوه لهسهر پرسی کوردبوونیان دوچاری چهوسانهوه و ڕاگوێزان هاتوون و گوندهکانیان وێران کراون. دوای ڕووخانی ڕژێمی پێشووی عێراقیش له ساڵی ٢٠٠٣ ئهو گۆڕانه سیاسییهی به سهر عێراقدا هات که بووه هۆی بههێزبوونی باڵی شیعه له عێراقدا، جارێکی دی به هۆکاری سیاسی ناسنامهی شهبهک دوچاری شێوان دهبێتهوه، ئهمجاره له لایهن ههندێک له شهبهکه شیعهکان ههوڵ دهدرێت شهبهک بکرێ به گروپێکی ئهتنیکی سهربهخۆ و شێوهزارهکهشیان وهک زمانێکی سهربهخۆ بناسێندرێ و چیدی شێوهزارێکی کوردی نهبێت. لهم توێژینهوهیهدا له ڕووی زمانهوانی- کۆمهڵایهتییهوه شێوهزاری شهبهکی شرۆڤه کراوه و ڕوون کراوهتهوه که شهبهکهکان کوردن و زمانهکهشیان شێوهزارێکی زمانی کوردییه.

Shabaki is a Variety of the Kurdish Language

Abstract:
Shabak is a Kurdish ethno-religious group. They speak a variety of a Kurdish dialect called Gurani-Hawrami. Although the vast majority of Shabak community ethnically are Kurds but they are also combine some Turkmen and Arab people with them and has both sects Shia and Sunni, the majority are Shia. A recent study of the history of the Shabaks disclosed that their origin is from a Kurdish tribe called (Shanbak) who settled an area located between Kermanshah and Hawraman in eastern Kurdistan (Iran). In this area in the past, Yarsan beliefs emerged using the Gurani dialect for their religious books and writings. Later the tribe emigrated to southern Kurdistan and settled in the eastern part of the Mosul plain. Although the Shabaks have several beliefs and religious ceremonies that are related to the religion of Yarsan, they speak also in a variety of Kurdish Gurani dialect. These are clear evidences that they are originally from that area. Shabaks in the past century were subjected to persecution by Iraqi authorities. The previous Iraqi government tried to Arabize their Kurdish identity. Shabaks were deported and their villages destroyed. Today, after the fall of the previous regime in 2003, and Strengthening the Shiite wing in Iraq, once again for political reasons, the Shabak identity subjects to distortion, as some Shia Shabaks are trying to change their Kurdish identity into an independent ethnic group and claim that their Kurdish variety is an independent language. This paper will analyze the topic, and in the sociolinguistic perspective, explain that Shabaks are Kurds and their language is a variety of the Kurdish Language.
